The real pain of many PMKVY Skill Hub Training Providers is not training delivery — it is surviving after delivery. They invested their own money to set up centres, hire trainers, mobilize candidates, conduct training, complete assessments, and support certifications. Yet even after all milestones are completed, many are still struggling for payments. In several cases, more than a year has passed with no clear visibility on when dues will be released. This raises an important question: Is delayed payment fair to those who executed the work in good faith? If there were issues in training quality, attendance, assessment process, or documentation, why were those concerns not escalated during implementation itself? Why are objections being raised after a year when providers have already borne the operational cost? A skill ecosystem can only grow when there is trust, transparency, and timely accountability from all sides. Training Partners are not just vendors — they are nation builders helping youth become employable. Delays of this scale create cash-flow crises, salary issues, centre closures, and loss of confidence in future government skilling initiatives. My view: ✔ Genuine non-compliance should be addressed promptly and fairly ✔ Fraud must be acted upon strictly ✔ But honest Training Providers should not be punished through indefinite payment uncertainty India’s skilling mission needs stronger governance, faster audits, and timely releases.
