📍The Space-Edge Connectivity Duo
While these companies aren't partners, their respective 2026 breakthroughs represent the two halves of a new “Space-Edge” architecture:
Transcelestial is the "Fiber": Their successful tracking test is the precursor to achieving high-speed data downlinks. By using lasers instead of radio frequencies, they aim to provide gigabit speeds that are virtually un-jammable, solving the "bottleneck" of getting massive satellite data back to Earth.
Voyager/Red Hat is the "Server": The Voyager, Red Hat partnership (May 11, 2026) focus on processing that data before it even leaves orbit. By deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.1 to micro-datacenters on the ISS, they enable real time AI analysis in space.
The mission > accelerating high performance, quantum secure space data economy, by solving the bottleneck of getting large amounts of data from satellites to the ground.
