Hardware is really tough especially for space. Building reliable comms hardware requires total understanding of the network layer and ability to hold end to end points for network layer optimization. Transcelestial is not trying to be Mynaric or Skyloom or Tesat or INSERT LASERCOMMS TERMINAL PROVIDER. We want to be the default telco in space - this means building an Undersea Cable competing infrastructure in orbit (Tbps) and a global high density optical ground station network to connect datacenters/cloud on earth with deep space. This is Day 1 and we have a lot to do. And I promise you we will transparently keep showing where we go right and where we go wrong. spacenews.com/transcelestial… Read more on our blog: transcelestial.com/blog/tran…

$VOYG 🖇️ @RedHat | Transcelestial 📍The Space-Edge Connectivity Duo While these companies aren't partners, their respective 2026 breakthroughs represent the two halves of a new “Space-Edge” architecture: Transcelestial is the "Fiber": Their successful tracking test is the precursor to achieving high-speed data downlinks. By using lasers instead of radio frequencies, they aim to provide gigabit speeds that are virtually un-jammable, solving the "bottleneck" of getting massive satellite data back to Earth. Voyager/Red Hat is the "Server": The Voyager, Red Hat partnership (May 11, 2026) focus on processing that data before it even leaves orbit. By deploying Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.1 to micro-datacenters on the ISS, they enable real time AI analysis in space. The mission > accelerating high performance, quantum secure space data economy, by solving the bottleneck of getting large amounts of data from satellites to the ground.

Innovation is no longer concentrated in a few geographies. Companies like @trans_celestial are proof that frontier technologies in space, connectivity, and defence are being built and scaled from new global hubs like Singapore. Their expansion into the U.S. highlights how deep tech founders today are building globally — they are bridging ecosystems, talent, and mission-critical infrastructure across borders. We’re excited to see Transcelestial deepen their presence in the U.S. and what @jharohit and team build next! @christine_tsai @TonyW @vishalharnal @atxfrench @leoclee
The US government is looking to Singapore for deep tech. @ChannelNewsAsia featured us as one of the companies they're working with tapping capabilities in space & defence that don't exist in many places in the world. That's why we're opening in Austin. 🇺🇸

reading them because of this more recent ieee article on Transcelestial [Companies Hope Lasers Can Replace Radio for Space-to-Ground Comms](spectrum.ieee.org/satellite-…) This aperture is much smaller than what I used to estimate the beam size

The radio spectrum is reaching the limit of space-to-Earth communication, with more spacecraft in orbit and more data to transmit each year. That’s why startup Transcelestial is working on optical communications for transferring data from Earth to space. buff.ly/0zaOmWB

Lasers are about to rewire how the world connects. 🚀 But everyone's focused on orbit. The real breakthrough happened on the ground. Transcelestial spent years proving optical links work in the ground: 400 deployments with Globe Telecom, disaster recovery with Taiwan Mobile, now signed with the three major US operators and NTT. Now we're taking it to space. ✅ First test satellite: in orbit ✅ Ground stations (Singapore Barcelona): live ✅ Four customer-grade satellites launching in October The tech was never the question. The trust was. We've earned it. #Transcelestial #5G #lasercomms

Typhoon Ragasa didn't just collapse a bridge in Taiwan. It also took down a critical telecom route. Conventional repairs: 6 months. Laser comms restored it: days. Here's what happened 👇 When Typhoon Ragasa destroyed the Mataian River Bridge in Hualien County, Taiwan Mobile lost a key connectivity link. Working with @Transcelestial and local integrator dBTech, a CENTAURI laser link was deployed across the river. Results: ✅ 10Gbps full-duplex ✅ 99.9% SLA maintained ✅ Operational through persistent rain ✅ Still running while permanent repairs continue The real lesson: Modern telecom's failure mode isn't capacity or coverage. It's physical dependency. One damaged structure = months of downtime while civil works catch up. Laser communications change that math entirely. #lasercomms #taiwan #telecom #disasterrecovery
