Thermax’s cooling business has successfully commissioned 2 no’s of 2400 m³/h fin fan coolers (air cooled heat exchanger) at a leading integrated steel manufacturing plant in Odisha, India. The system supports temperature control for basic oxygen furnace (BOF) in the primary steelmaking unit where molten iron is refined into steel.    By dissipating excess heat from critical auxiliary systems using ambient air, the fin fan cooler ensures stable process temperatures without dependence on water cooling. A global particle board manufacturing company based in South India now powers its operations with our unique 36 MW energy plant.
