I don’t see why you should hate Abu Sufyan or Yazid b Abi Sufyan. Their Islam was extremely good. Especially as a Shi’i, Abu Sufyan supported ‘Ali’s successorship due to his love for him and familial ties. They never opposed ‘Ali after they embraced Islam. They only fought to expand the Muslim territories, which ‘Ali was in support of, and spread Islam. Their case is completely distinct from Mu’awiyah or ‘Amr. Why don’t you honor them like you honor Hurr b Yazid al-Tamimi? Don’t you believe people can change? It can’t be because they are Makkan converts, because you hold Hashim b Utba in high regard.
