Also it doesn't help that since it's going back to 4v4 you can't really have 2 main AR's running around the map

It doesn't affect it drastically, it's just your reaction time gets worse as you get older and considering Clay is the oldest cod pro atm I can sort of see that thought process, but i'm not saying Clay is horrible, anything but, but that might have been what Envy was thinking

I mean reaction time does get lower, and it can make sense at a business stand point. iLLeY and Shotzii both 18, they have a lot to grow with and can improve so much over the next decade, where clay in 5 years MAYBE might not be able to compete at a high level. That's a maybe.

Because COD is going back to 4v4 and all the teams need to drop one of their players and my guess is that Envy had the mindset of "he's getting too old to compete" or something along those lines. Because it wouldn't make sense, like you said, to drop a back to back champ.
