The report compares NYC's first wave to the worst 12 weeks in more than 400 countries and subregions around the world, usingdata from @IHME_UW.
NYC's peak mortality rate of 261 per 100,000 was the 2nd worst, just behind Mexico City. No other place was above 200.

3/5 I use the #BACI approach using household-surveys collected as part of @cifor GCS study on #REDD . Using pre-treatment household-level matching and #DID procedures, I find that C&C supervision sanctioning has a stronger power preventing deforestation than REDD . #FLARETC20
