A Story I’ve Never Told Before — The Seoul International Drama Awards 2024
(24 Sep 2024) On the day 🐰 arrived at Incheon Airport, my friends and I were already there waiting. My flight had landed an hour earlier than his.
The moment I saw him, I handed him the card I had made, filled with messages from SBPs.
👩: Congratulations, Win!
🐰: Thank you. Where are you from?
👩: HK. We came to support you at the awards presentation 💖
🐰: Oh, thank you so much. See you tomorrow 😊
We were too shy to ask for a photo. Still, we gathered enough courage to ask for his autograph, and he kindly signed my Velence laptop pouch — the same pouch I had used to carry the card all the way to Korea.
Not wanting to disturb him, we left shortly after. Before heading toward the arrival hall, he waved at us and softly said goodbye 🥹. Even though he was wearing a mask, I could see the smile in his eyes. He seemed genuinely touched that someone had come all that way to support him in person.
The conversation was brief and simple, but I could feel his sincerity and appreciation.
Some people may say that awards like this are just a “voting game.” To me, they represent the collective effort and love of fans — something that remains meaningful and visible to an artist, no matter how long they've been in the industry. I witnessed that meaning - as I saw him walking the purple carpet and delivered his speech, particularly thanking the fans who voted for him.
This year, 🐰 was nominated for Enigma Black Stage, a project he invested so much of himself in. Regardless of the results, my support remains the same.
