SonicWallが描く“脱VPN”のかたち - VPNaaS「Cloud Secure Edge」とSoliton OneGateの連携-
クラウド化が進む現在でも、VPNを使い続けている企業は少なくありません。情報資産をクラウドに移行する手間をかけずに、従業員がリモートワークを行えるためです。
一方で、VPNが情報を扱うということは、攻撃者の標的となる可能性があるということでもあります。VPNを狙ったサイバー攻撃の中でも特に深刻なのが、ランサムウェアによる攻撃です。

I think @levelsio 's point, though, is that there's a level of opsec that is wholly unnecessary for 99.99% of legitimate use cases. VPNaas is also not the way to secure those .01% of use cases.

SASE検討で5社の製品説明をきいた。シスコのセキュアアクセスが一番良かった。
ZTNA導入のマイナスポイントってサーバ発（資産管理サーバ等）の通信ができないことだけど、シスコはVPNaaSと併用して両立できる点がよい。

Commercial VPNaaS doesn't provide any protection for their customers from the authorities. They can also track your traffic. A VPN is a cryptographic service. Not your keys, etc. Now, if you're looking to get around crappy country based restrictions... NFA CYA DYOR or whatever.
