I've finished writing all the Verse code for Lessons 32 through 38 today, though I still need to write the accompanying tutorial notes. 🍕Progress was smoother than I expected, and I'm happy to say I didn't get stuck on the Class lesson for too long! This new batch of lessons covers: Enum, Player & Messages, Event & Await, Struct, and Class. 🍔Since it should only take about one more day to finish writing the tutorial notes for these lessons, I've decided to change the release schedule. I'll be delaying this Thursday's update and will instead release a massive batch of Lessons (25-39) all at once this Friday! Lesson 39 will be a showcase of various small but practical features—think of it as a collection of useful code snippets for common tasks. We'll cover things like: - Generating random numbers - Using `creative_prop` to teleport, move, and hide objects - Setting player stats like health, shields, and invincibility - Other common uses for the `@editable` attribute Are there any other small snippets or features you'd like to see included in this "cookbook-style" lesson? Finally, Lesson 40 is planned to be about "How to Read the API." I've realized this topic is best explained with a video. Should I save this one for when I start video production, or do you all have other ideas on how to approach it in a text-based format? Let me know your thoughts! #VerseTutorial #Verse #UEFN

I've been deep in course production all day. 🍕Today, I finalized Lessons 25-31, which cover Maps, variable scope/lifecycle, Tuples, and async functions (suspends, Sleep, loop, etc.). - They will be ready for release this Thursday! 🍔I've also decided to adjust the curriculum: I'm pulling Event, Await, Enum, and Struct forward into the foundational course. - I'll start working on producing and releasing those lessons next. And after that... all that's left is the lesson that gives me the biggest headache: Class! 🤣🤣🤣 #VerseTutorial #Verse #UEFN

An Update on All My Projects: TWDU & The Verse Course 🍕A friend asked about the development progress of TWDU yesterday, so I figured I’d give a proper update on all the projects I'm currently working on! 📚 Verse-Bites Course Production I know many of you are waiting for the videos, and I haven't released any yet. To be honest, producing this kind of video content is a new challenge for me. Because of that, my plan is to first complete the text-based version of the foundational course. I've currently finished up to Lesson 29 out of a total of 35. After the foundational course is complete, I will not immediately start on the advanced lessons. Instead, I will circle back and focus on producing the videos for the foundational course. 🌾 TWDU: Harvest Homestead This was the first project I started sharing and updating regularly here on X. Unfortunately, my original partner has a lot on their plate right now, and their availability has become unpredictable. Considering the long-term sustainability of the project and the quality of the player experience, I need some time to re-evaluate everything. This may mean looking for new partners in the future, but for now, development on TWDU is on hold. 🤫 Secret Project Aside from some client work, I am also actively developing a new, secret project. This is another reason for pausing TWDU, as I need to focus on a smaller project that I can release more quickly. 🍔Thank you all for your continued support and understanding! #Verse #VerseTutorial #UEFN

🚀 The Verse Lesson-Bites Beta Course (Lessons 0-19) is now LIVE! 🍕This free course is designed for creators with NO coding experience. Dive in, start learning, and share your feedback to help shape the future of the course! 🔗 Course on GitHub: github.com/UnrealRider/Verse… 💬 Feedback & Questions on Discord: discord.gg/AhU7WkUdUD 🍔A quick update on my current progress: - I feel the "getting started" step isn't as smooth as I'd like, so improving that initial experience is my top priority. - It took a while, but I'm getting the hang of managing a public GitHub project. - The course outline has been updated (see image). - For now, only the course code is available. I haven't had time to work on the videos. - I'll start producing videos for the first 5 lessons while I wait for feedback on the beta. I'm still establishing a workflow for video production. #Verse #VerseTutorial #UEFN #FortniteCreative

Announcing the Verse-Bites Course Beta Release! 🍕Hey everyone, I'm excited to announce that the beta version of the Verse-Bites learning course will launch on September 17th at 8:00 AM UTC. 🍔Why a beta first? Instead of dropping all 35 beginner lessons at once, I've decided to release a beta version to get your valuable feedback. My goal is to collaborate with you to refine the content and make sure the entire course is as clear, consistent, and helpful as possible. This initial beta release will cover lessons up to Lesson-19, getting you through all the basics of Functions. Can't wait to hear what you think! The GitHub link for the release will be announced in a new post here on X. #VerseTutorial #Verse #UEFN

Learn UEFN Verse from Scratch — Free, Simple, and Open to All! 🍕I’ve created a completely free Verse course designed for creators with zero programming experience! My approach is different from traditional coding tutorials—no jargon, no info overload. Every lesson is super short and straight to the point. The goal is simple: Copy, Paste, Modify—learn by doing, one step at a time. The image shows my current course outline. I’ve finished lessons 1–35, and I’m now preparing to record video walkthroughs. 🍔Besides the free course, here are my upcoming open-source Verse projects: - Lesson-Bites — Concise, need-to-know Verse lessons (Lessons 1–55) - Verse-Bites — Essential syntax quick reference - Quick-Bites — Short tips, best practices, and common bug fixes - Game-Bites — Ready-to-use gameplay modules (e.g. Lucky Wheel, simple systems) - Pattern-Bites — Standardized, reusable code snippets for your own projects If you’re interested, feel free to share your feedback or ideas! I’m also open to collaborating with like-minded folks—DM me if you want to chat! #VerseTutorial #UEFN #Verse
