I have been hearing on the news that there are people out there who are saying because Elon Musk has become America’s first trillionaire that that very fact is taking money out of peoples pockets. I’m no rocket scientist a GED in some college and some Votech. I’m just curious as to hell a private company taking itself public and making the owner of the company a gazillion how is that taking money out of the peoples pocket? I feel like there’s a level of stupid I’ve never encountered before.

Anyone could have put payroll deducted money into any of those and rode up with them. Or they could have gone to school or votech and not be making minimum wage. My grandson still in high school has always made more than minimum wage.

College is for discovery, not utility. It is not votech. A lot of people have their most life-changing experiences in their third or fourth year in college. These things take *time.* They take *nurturing.* Everything anyone has told you about college since 2000 is a bizdev lie.

It still exists. You just don't want it. Go to a VoTech, and learn a skill. Get some experience in that trade. Move to a small to mid-sized city away from the major metroplexes. Buy a house. Have as many kids as you want.

It doesn't have to be military. It could be any fed agency. CBP, NPS, USCG, Army Corp of Engineers, etc. In return, give them two years of community college or votech education

Hello. I am Arben. I would argue that “education” makes people more stupid. Not just in America, across the globe. Education is a laudable goal. Indoctrination is ridiculous, especially at the cost of 100k a year. I look forward to a new generation of people trained in community colleges and votech schools.
9 out of 10 Americans are woefully uneducated.

They would be better off buying the lower quality tools at first. Most votech grads only last a couple of years if that because of flat rate. No since burying them into debt right from the start. Those tool trucks are like crack to mechanics, they get you hooked & it’s weekly for the next 20 plus years..

My brother-in-law and I knew the elder Towns. His dad was a coach in high school at Piscataway Votech and worked security at Rutgers.

Help others. Veterans. Women's and childrens shelters. People who are working hard but need a little extra help-maybe pay for some Votech or something to give them a hand up not a hand out.

Fantastic. This votech schools teach real skills, and they feed the local business economy with reliable, well trained workers that know how to act on the job
I teach auto shop at a small high school. We work on students cars, teachers cars, students parents cars and some community people cars. We only charge for parts and not labor, so we saved some people a lot of money last school year. This last school year we did 126 oil changes, 68 brake jobs, 85 alignments, 4 steering racks, 22 tune ups, 32 struts, 20 shock absorbers, 4 transfer cases, mounted and balanced 82 new tires, 4 timing chains, 15 valve cover gaskets, 14 thermostats, 4 radiators, 12 in tank fuel pumps, 8 EVAP canisters, 6 exhaust manifolds, 4 mufflers, 15 AC repairs including evacuate and recharge, 8 alternators, 22 batteries, 9 starters and so much more! Proud of those students I am!

Imho, lack of vocational opportunities. When I was in HS in the 80's they were ending all votech classes after having ended the programs (work/study). After they closed auto shop, I rarely showed up. Tried to go to a county votech school but they were not taking more students. Graduated (I don't think they wanted me back another year) and joined the Army
