Sinn Fein are a LEFT WING party.
Yet, PBP, Labour, Greens and the Social Dems did not transfer friendly to them at all in Dublin Central.
In fact Sinn Féin gained the most from HARD RIGHT WING candidates.
The party needs to dive hard back to its left wing Republican roots!

After 70% boxes tallied in Dublin Central, Gerard Hutch 13% and Malachy Steenson 11% are on a combined 24%, ahead of SF 20% and SocDems 18%. At #GE24, 70% of Malachy's vote was transferred to Gerry Hutch after elimination. Should be said, this time out, Malachy is doing far better than #GE24.
Still early days, but this could be a far tighter 3-horse race than was anticipated.
And in the end, was #VoteLeftTransferLeft even a thing in #DublinCentral26 ?

Shamefully the Dáil votes to continue to force women in tragic circumstances to travel to access abortions.
The vast majority of Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael despite a free vote joined Aontú and Independent Ireland against abortion rights. Sinn Féin abstained on women's rights.
