On Tuesday, the Mock Trial Club from Oak Creek High came to the State Capitol to observe #WisconsinSupremeCourt Oral Arguments and tour our historic building. They also popped in to watch our #WIAssembly Session, and I had a chance to introduce them to my colleagues on the Assembly Floor and speak with them after Session. The students had great questions about how our state government works – I was so impressed! @OCFSD

Today my bill, AB 602 passed in the full #WIAssembly! The federal government is offering families a dollar-for-dollar tax credit of up to $1,700 for donations to nonprofits that fund student scholarships. But for Wisconsin students to benefit, our state must opt-in. AB 602 makes sure those dollars stay here in Wisconsin – supporting our own students in public, private, charter, and homeschool settings. This program costs the state nothing and brings more resources into our classrooms to help kids succeed. Let’s keep these opportunities local and invest in Wisconsin’s future🎓💡.
