Monday 5.27 is Memorial Day in the US. The word roots for this week are MEM/MEMOR = Mind/Mindful. (UK, Canada, & Australia save for Remembrance Day 11.11). (BTW, the photos of the serviceman & child placing flags at military graves are my son & grandson)

Here's a short blessing/poem to help celebrate Saint Patrick and all the Irish (of course we’re all Irish on March 17!)– and at the same time build students’ fluency as they hear, discuss, rehearse (repeat reading), and perform this poem.
