People often ask me, why cancer? It’s simple. There is no disease that destroys, debilitates, disenfranchises, as cancer does. It doesn’t affect just individuals, it affects the entire family, community and country.
I never think of stopping, and even in the face of adversity, I keep going. And I will keep going….As a grassroots advocate, as a speaker at high level meetings, as board room member, as a care giver, as a fundraiser and in all the ways my being can muster.
Being nominated again to the position of president elect of @uicc is great. To me it is not a position. Leadership is a practice that allows us achieve our purpose.
Thank you sir, @DrTunjiAlausa, our Hon Minister of health. Not just for this announcement, but for your support, encouragement and interventions to me, and the entire cancer structure in Nigeria and beyond. #wemoveagain
