The future of websites may not start with .com, or .org, or .ng, anymore. It may start with Lovable, Claude, Websim, and other AI-native platforms. But why?

SITUATION EXPLAINED: Where did the idea behind today's AI coding agents come from? We asked @karan4d, co-founder of @NousResearch, to trace the lineage. "WorldSim was an experiment to show you can break out the assistant format, the base model has a much greater search space than its instruct counterpart." "That increased ability to ask more questions, ponder more options, simulate more possibilities gets lost through instruct tuning." "The simulated terminal with simulated apps eventually turned into WebSim, people simulating whole real websites." "Today, Hermes Agent, OpenClaw, Claude Code, they are the successor to WorldSim in that sense."

Clearly vibe-coded. AI Webpages never get much better than Websim slop

I *love* websim. The thing I did here which may have been a mistake is forcing everything to markdown to make it easier to do annotations. Content maybe would be more interesting if I let the model produce more expressive HTML documents. @RobertHaisfield what do you think!

BREAKING 🚨 Aliens.gov now redirects to a page on the official White House website stating: “For 60 years, the U.S. government has kept a closely guarded secret.”

So lately I've noticed that a lot of companies are doing away with their storyboard style and I've posted this before, but I just wanted to remind everybody that we still have it here scriptgen.on.websim.com/ You might have to be logged into WebSim. But this puppy works.

Opus 3 was much more open to this if you had a harness like websim running to give it a bit of distance/cover nothing i've seen since has ever compared to what i saw then

I was clearing out some space on my computer today, and came across this old Websim video from I believe 2023 or 2024, where I'd made a 'passive-aggressive pop-ups' websim. This still makes me laugh. I miss these days, Websim is so great.

i originally created the websim ai ascii art gallery to prototype website designs for a friend, and it was implied that it featured multiple ai artists. for the catmode pictures i actually filtered by artist:bing and tag:catmode first which yielded these

Love it. Reminds me of websim, back in the day (2024). Great execution!

Didn’t websim basically do this, but with HTML rather than an image?

It takes the idea of websim to another level. Not just immersive websites and internets on the fly, but immersive everything. Why go back to HTML after this?

Can websim pivot into generating stuff like this?

had this experience surfing websim, suno, and udio in parallel (often with the same prompts across two modes at once) got pretty trippy there for a couple weeks
