Vice President Mohadi graced the event, which aimed to align the media sector’s activities with the national development goals. The Indaba served as a crucial platform for dialogues aimed at enhancing the sector’s contributions to these objectives. We welcomed a diverse group of media professionals, ranging from veterans of traditional media to prominent figures in new media. These included the likes of Rueben Barwe @ezratshisa @officialvcandy @djollah7 @cde_phil @hazvineisakarombe @sikhonjwa amongst many other colleague practitioners within the sector. The discussions covered a broad spectrum, including the monetization of media platforms, agenda-setting, the technicalities of content creation, and their collective impact on national interest and development. A key takeaway for me was the ongoing need for dialogue regarding access to information, a vital area where government and media need to partner continuously to foster sustainable national development.
