It’s one of my absolute favourite days of the year. Starting the morning in Mossley for the #whitwalk and then the #brassbandcontest at Stalybridge Labour Club.
Get yourself down there to support these tremendous local traditions
Yesterday, churches across the diocese gathered together in Manchester City Centre for our first #WhitWalk back after four years! ⛪ 🎉
Thank you to everyone that showed up 💙
We're grateful to the incredible @PaulJHeyes for capturing the event 📷
#WhitWalk through “Tony’s Patch”, an area of ancient woodland, now a nature reserve, in the valley of the Honeycrook Burn near #HaydonBridge. Upstream, in the densest part of the wood, we come across the remains of the Langley Barony Lead Mine. #Northumberland
Good to catch part of the #Whitwalk snaking through #Chesterfield town centre. Fond memories of childhood participation and attending with my late Dad #communitymatters
Enjoyed the Whit Walk in Manchester with Churches Together in Didsbury. Great to see so many people walking & enjoying the service. Thanks to Brigade bands for fab music & to @lisabattye for organising the Didsbury group. #whitwalk#walkofwitness@DioManchester@churchofengland
