По ее признанию, она поняла это в 17 лет, в 1989 году, когда в Либерии началась Первая гражданская война. Конфликт длился до 1997 года и завершился избранием Чарльза Тейлора — чья президентская кампания проходила под лозунгом: «Он убил мою маму, он убил моего папу, но я голосую за него». Du 21 au 25 Nov 2022 la chargée du programme WIPNET a assisté à une formation avec le KAIPTC à Abuja sur les opérations de paix, le leadership et mentorat afin d'atténuer les effets des conflits sur les civils et accroître le leadership féminin dans le secteur paix et sécurité.

It started with a cause “We want peace, no more war” Now, #WIPNET is a safe place for Liberian women and for the generations to come. They felt the call to do that, and they are making that happen. #WomenLeadership is no longer invisible in #Liberia.

Sexual gender-based violence is still a problem in Liberia. Young girls are being raped, #DomesticViolence increases. Women who are victims of this kind of crime seek refuge at the #WIPNET Program and they help them to understand the process of getting justice. @WANEP_Regional
