Some pics from our session at the NRU, West Park Hospital, this week.
Participants designed their own Willow Pattern style plates, what do you think?
We are grateful to @ddc_engineering for sponsoring these impactful sessions.

Just listed - a tiny English pearlware teapot dating from the late C18th/early C19th. The lid is a mismatch and is Chinese from about the same period. It holds just 200ml and is light as a feather! Sweet little antique 💙

Day number 12 of my Advent calendar we have this lovely early pair of #Spode transfer printed plates with the #Willowpattern. C. 1800. Makers single and double slashes to the rear. A similar example can be found in the V&A.
Three early #WillowPattern transfer wares. They may all look the same but are also subtly different. Plate 1 and 2 apart from a different shade of blue. Plate three has differences including the border. There appears to have been many different designs of patterns in the early 19th century which can lead to a lot of head scratching! All three possibly #Spode.
An early pair of #Spode transfer printed #pearlware plates (c.1800), decorated with #WillowPattern. A lovely deep #cobalt blue. On the base are a couple of Workmens parallel lines.
One for the list @maryannpierce - saw these today in the Trieste museum of oriental art - aren’t they gorgeous - quite large too - unsure what they were originally used for … #willowpattern
