What's the first diagnosis that comes to your mind?
Are you a physician managing a patient with chronic diarrhea?
Chronic diarrhea may be an early sign of an underlying condition that requires structured and timely evaluation.
The AKU Manual highlights key points:
🔹 Features: dehydration, abdominal pain, malnutrition
🔹 Complications: anemia, vitamin deficiencies, electrolyte imbalance
🔹 Tests: stool analysis, cultures, pH, fecal leukocytes/osmotic gap
🔹 Further workup: celiac screening, fecal A1AT, colonoscopy (selected cases)
💡 Early diagnosis enables targeted management and prevents complications.

We tested a few AI models to see what they say 🤔
Most models interpret the images as a superficial high-grade glioma/GBM with breach of the pia and marked leptomeningeal/subarachnoid extension, encasing native leptomeningeal vessels.
The main disagreement is that one model argues the squamous-lined cysts are not compatible with glioma and instead suggest an alternative diagnosis/differential such as an embryonal, germ cell/teratomatous, or craniopharyngioma-like lesion, warranting broader workup.

That entire screenshot *screams* mental illness. So fucking obvious. Any doctor that performs that sorta surgery without a full psychological workup (think Autism) from a proper panel needs their license revoked, and jail time. Tired of hearing/reading about negative results.
We welcome @CMSGov proposals which are spot on! Time to remove patient care barriers, increase access, streamline workup/treatment, get rid of redundant practices that lead to increased health care $. No reason to still practice same as 20 years ago. @SCAI

Just made another MGUS diagnosis today. About one every week now l and only in the multi- Covid jabbed. Appears as a mild anemia and an SPEP is part of my usual anemia workup besides the usual labs and checking for GI bleed causes.
Anybody who thinks Romy Gonzalez is gonna spark this #redsox team needs a complete neurological workup and bone scan. It’s over. They’re dead. Save this tweet, Rene.
7/8 The distinction matters because the next step differs.
Microclots point to vascular workup. Mast cells to a mediator workup. Costochondral to a physical exam. Dysautonomia to autonomic testing.
During a living liver donor workup, doctors typically perform:
Blood type testing
Tissue typing (HLA testing)
Genetic and family history reviews
Extensive blood work and medical screening
🇺🇸Seems you are constitutionally only 67 as indicated by physician’s presidential workup. However, you’re ageless per U.S. Constitution. Happy Birthday, President Trump. Many happy returns. 🙏
What long covid highlighted for me is that I was left undiagnosed or under-treated for conditions that covid made much worse, like a long-term fibromyalgia diagnosis without ever having a hypermobility workup, like it turbocharged everything I was told to just live with.
Learn the warning signs of dementia, when its time to advocate for a diagnostic workup, what effective care looks like, and if there's any reversible conditions that could be ruled out.
