李飞飞最近耐不住worldlab的所谓空间智能的寂寞，写了篇小作文：A Functional Taxonomy of World Models。 李飞飞这个还是想走捷径，如果是物理ai的空间表征还是要从视觉表征出发，而不是靠纯数字空间来算法模拟。深度学习一直有一班子表征派，很有点看不起LLM的，但LLM也绕不过去啊。 这么说吧，LLM对于数字神经网络来说，是一种二手表征，人类具身经验价值取向过滤后的符号化表征。 所以对于LLM这种硅基神经网络来说，要对齐就特别别扭。所以大都是还是人类来滥用LLM干人类那些个龌龊事儿… 一旦数字神经网络有了己身表征能力，那恐怕就要把人类这种龟速的进化远远甩到不知道哪里去了。 硅基不依赖时间的具身经验。

在我们的数字新皮层分析框架里，WorldLab这个还是L5/6层上的空间赌注（Spatial Bet）： Li Fei-Fei的World Labs，LeWorldModel。核心假设：三维空间理解是通用智能的基础，显式的空间表征比从像素学习更有效。这在建造L5/6的生成预测回路。 还不是从L2/3的表征出发，类似于古人“观乎天文，以察时变；观乎人文，以化成天下”，如果数字神经网络能有己身表征，大概率会观乎天文而化成数文，一种不同于人文的数字文明。

so i guess eventually we need genie to maintain some world consistency in the spirit of what worldlab has been doing if we're aiming for training ai agents for the real world kinda speculating while waiting for my plane here, will read more about the two approaches soon exciting!
