The Architect 's Eden
-------------------------
Every Morning
I sit in the screened porch
With a steaming cup of tea
And there before me stands a maple tree
Tall and graceful
Its tender branches adorned with leaves
That dance in perfect rhythm to the gentle breeze
Below vibrant flower beds
Bloom in a symphony of hues
Smiling in harmonius scores
Of crimson,gold and blue
As the sun rises in the east
Painting the sky with dawn's first light
The loyal sunflower turns its face
Following its radiant master's flight
From east to west
It journeys till twilight's soft embrace-
Then rests its head upon sun's warm shoulder worryless
Throughout the night
Full of quiet contentment and inner grace-
Besides it the Dahlia sighs in a jealous repose
Though blessed with myriad colours and
Beauty deep as prose
It fail to capture the
Sun's devoted gaze
Its petals heavy with unspoken longing-
Yet humming bird wise and free
Kisses every bloom without a care
For size of pedigree-
Red,yellow,white or
Royal purple all the same
It weaves the meaning of oneness
In its gentle game
Collecting nectar for itself
Twittering in soft, subtle tone of melody
With wings aflutter in
Tireless delight
It dances through rose and
jasmine scented air
Hovering back and forth, sideways in mid flight
Turning the garden into a mesmerizing affair-
So enchanting
It freezes me in place
Lost in wonder's snare
As the architect of this living eden
I set new dreams each year ,beauty and renew
Tending every corner with patient, loving care
For each garden
Whispers its own
Unique story
Wrapped in a hypnotic aura of
Timeless glory---
A little long,but a
beautiful one
