Try a โ€œworry window.โ€ Instead of letting anxious thoughts take over your whole day, schedule a 10โ€“15 minute block to write down your worries or think them through. Once the time is up, gently close that window and shift your focus. ๐Ÿง  This technique helps you honor your feelings without letting them run the show. #MentalHealthTools #WorryWindow #EmotionalBalance #MindCareTips #YouAreInControl

#Tip of the Day for #Seniors & #caregivers during #COVID2019: #anxiety, #depression & feeling overwhelmed are common. Create a #worrywindow: write down your worries on a paper as they cross your mind in the day. Then give yourself a *specific time* to review that list & discuss.

I've been talking a lot about 'Worry Windows' today. We need enough up to date information to stay safe but not too much to overwhelm us. Maybe half an hour, morning and eve - then listen/watch/read/do something else xx #WorryWindow
