The #WrenLibrary was designed by Sir Christopher Wren almost a century before American independence. The Aristeas sculpture is at the top of the middle (sixth) arch. (7/10)

At the centre of the #WrenLibrary, Trinity College, Cambridge (built 1695) is a carving depicting the presentation of the Greek Septuagint to Ptolemy in the Letter of Aristeas. Few know about this (not even the college porter) since it's only visible from the grass… (6/10)

Palaeography classes for both staff and students have resumed in the #WrenLibrary. Offered by our Archivist, they equip attendees with the ability to read texts written in the 16th-18th c. Quite a lot of fun, from College minutes to accounts to travel journals...and lots more.
