Eastern Devs still know how to create characters full of CHARM and ARTISTIC INTEGRITY. A likable character is the first step in making a game that is FUN, a tenet that Western Devs have completely abandoned.

You’ve got artistic talent, you just gotta be open to the idea of imperfections when it comes to making smaller projects. Not everyone is gonna be able to promote their stuff through products, you’ve gotta find some other way to hook people onto your ideas

Some people think they’re having the death animations cut to black as an artistic choice but it’s actually because the AI generator they’re using keep saying “Sorry I cannot fulfill this request.”

One idea from a recent post caught my attention: why would anyone be offended by Taehyung wanting to make a pop album? The question reveals something interesting about how we think about music. For many people, "pop" is no longer simply a genre. It functions as a proxy for other assumptions: commercial, mainstream, accessible, predictable. The issue isn't that these associations exist. It's that they're often treated as measures of artistic value. Somewhere along the way, popularity and artistic legitimacy came to be treated as opposites. The more widely something is enjoyed, the more likely it is to be viewed with suspicion as serious art. Yet experimentation, originality, aesthetic vision and creative risk are not properties of genre; they can exist within pop just as easily as within jazz, soul or classical music. Which leaves a question worth asking: why do we so often treat popularity as evidence against artistic value?
13 Years: The Next Chapter of an Artist Without Limits After Kim Taehyung's interview with Rolling Stone, I received the following question: “How do you feel now that your little jazz, R&B, and soul artist said he's going to make a pop album?” Putting aside the insults hidden in that question, I actually felt flattered. Tae talked about his musical aspirations, and somehow that person immediately thought of me. What I didn't understand was why Taehyung sharing plans for his solo musical career was supposed to be offensive to me. Anyone else with me on this? Because of pop? A pop album performed through Taehyung's voice, aesthetic vision, versatility, and melodic, harmonic, and visual creative genius? Ladies and gentlemen, I can hardly wait to hear and witness, in real time, Taehyung redefining what pop can be. You have no idea what I believe Tae is capable of creating. 🤯 I'll go even further: ❝ True artists are not interesting only because of what they have already done. They are interesting because of what they are still capable of imagining and creating. ❞ There are two quotes from Taehyung that fascinate me and fill me with anticipation: “The sky is still the limit for the music I want to create,” and “If I have zero desire, shouldn't I stop being an artist?” Kim Taehyung is an artist of innovation and risk. A creator who experiments with sounds, blends genres, and challenges conventions. He continues to generate excitement because his artistry never seems limited to a single form of expression. Whether through music, visual language, performance, or storytelling, there is always the sense that he is exploring possibilities that have not yet been fully revealed. It is this combination of talent, creative curiosity, and authenticity that transforms a relevant artist into a generational reference. Remember this: ❝ Decades from now, when future generations seek to understand how art, music, digital culture, performance, and artistic identity intersected in the early twenty-first century, Kim Taehyung will be one of the names that must be studied. Not simply because he was popular, but because he helped define part of the cultural conversation of his era. ❞ Imagine a pop album from an artist whose work constantly moves across creative disciplines, bringing together music, visual aesthetics, performance, photography, fashion, cinema, and diverse cultural influences. It is precisely this ability to engage with multiple forms of expression that allows his work to transcend the conventional boundaries of entertainment. Taehyung belongs to the category of artists who add something meaningful to the artistic and cultural heritage of their generation. And perhaps that is why so many people continue to look forward to the next chapters of his journey. IMAGINATION. EXPERIMENTATION. CREATION. #Kimtaehyung #Taehyung #V #BTSV

This day, the 14th of June, being the anniversary of the Battle of Marengo, from which engagement a certain white-haired pony-chan of Egyptian extraction derived her appellation, affords a pleasing occasion for reflection. From Austerlitz to Jena-Auerstedt, from Wagram unto Waterloo, she proved the Emperor's most faithful and stalwart Soldier; and upon this auspicious day she appears to smile with particular satisfaction, in commemoration of my having now assembled 5000 followers to my cause. It seemeth but yesterday, though in truth it was scarce the conclusion of April, that I had the honour of surpassing 4000. Yet, with a celerity not wholly unlike that by which Bonaparte himself ascended the heights of fortune, another thousand have since joined my audience. Such an increase exceeds all reasonable expectation, and cannot but inspire gratitude. The favourable approbation with which you have regarded my artistic endeavours, together with your constant and generous support, furnishes the strongest encouragement to persevere. So long as there shall remain persons disposed to take pleasure in the productions of my fancy, I shall continue, with unabated zeal, to express and render those conceptions which arise within my imagination, and to share, as best I am able, the delights which attend them.

sure, but the core of those games are the gameplay, to get the intended experience is to play them and respect the artistic vision of the devs, you don’t get the intended experience just by watching and don’t interact with what makes the game special

I think Rovio's utter contempt for the artistic nature of game development has too deeply permeated the company's modus operandi for anything that we say to actually get through their thick skulls
Rovio is testing a new, AI-generated app icon for Bad Piggies on the Google Play store, per multiple reports.
