Curious to know 🤔, is it a good idea to write styles in CSS-in-JS way and output in AtomicCSS way? Recently looking for existed solutions but found nothing, so I made a toy, StyoCSS. github.com/DevilTea/styocss I would appreciate if anyone gives me some feedback 🙏

Incredible! Truly inspiring to see Adam's take on how @AtomicCSS paved the way for the next generation of CSS libraries & tooling.
Really enjoyed this interview with @7h1322yk0813n72 on the history of @AtomicCSS! Truly pioneering work that deserves an enormous amount of credit — Tailwind works virtually the same way at this point but we stumbled our way here *many* years later. css-tricks.com/thierry-koble…

Thanks! I think tooling will definitely help, but I’m just curious about the rule of naming (especially when new CSS property is introduced). We had discussions back when @AtomicCSS is built and I remember predictability is one of the major factor of naming :)

I feel that @AtomicCSS naming conventions and rules are more strict and predictable. - text-align: center => Ta(c), vertical-align:top => Va(t)

Every time I heard people praising Tailwind CSS I feel like @AtomicCSS is way under-appreciated :) Witnessing from the start (and took lots of bullets), I feel like it's important to credit back pioneering work (and it's still working perfectly fine after years)

It's not like tailwind with opinionated utilities. It literally just exposes minimalist atomic representations of css properties as utility classes. My frontend prototyping is as fast or faster than tailwind since it's working only in native properties.

@AtomicCSS is basically unopinionated tailwind, it supports almost every css prop and you're not locked to preset units and value types for it's utilities. the turnaround for prototyping is just as fast as tailwind if not faster because the classes directly correspond to props.

I'm convinced @AtomicCSS is a superior product to Tailwind. It representing CSS in an unopinionated matter is just objectively good practice to me, but their compiler virtually allows neat stuff like parent and dynamic conditional selectors. I should have looked into it sooner.
