We want to take a moment to clarify everything openly and transparently.
Yesterday, we asked a question — whether it would be acceptable to allocate 150,000 BP each to a small number of core contributors (around 4–5 people), not all mods. This was only a question. Nothing was decided, and nothing was sent as part of that discussion.
We asked because, as a mod and core team, most of us don’t hold the largest bags. For the past month, we’ve been here every day — hosting spaces, organizing events, supporting holders, building partnerships, and helping grow Barking Puppy behind the scenes.
We asked because we wanted your opinion first. Your voice matters, and we wanted to understand how the community feels before making any decisions.
Unfortunately, the question was quickly interpreted by some as something final, and emotions escalated. Some reactions became aggressive and personal, which was disappointing — not because of disagreement, but because everything we’ve done has always been in service of the project and the community.
At the same time, the overall feedback was clear. Many of you expressed that at this stage, with market conditions still stabilizing, it’s important to keep the treasury intact. We hear you, and we respect that fully.
For full transparency, we did allocate 150,000 BP to our media lead, @HustleMillenial . He has consistently hosted long-form spaces, supported communications, and worked behind the scenes on partnerships and growth. This was recognition for ongoing, active contributions.
Aside from that, nothing else has been distributed. The treasury remains intact.
We also heard you clearly regarding community rewards. The daily Backworker 1 SOL reward will continue as usual.
We are not separate from the community. We are part of it. We asked because we respect you. We listened because we trust you.
And we continue forward — together. 🐾
