A third party browser is a different legal entity, afaik. Like with the unofficial reddit apps vs the official reddit app - Reddit had no control over Reddit Is Fun or BaconReader the only one legally responsible for RiF/BR were the guys that ran the app.

Same for me.
I used to read on mobile with baconreader, but with "new reddit" i Was out.
I'm still on "old reddit" on PC as well

Don’t care to be unbanned at this point. I have an account that I made on my pc for stock groups to test to see if i was IP banned and I am for sure. I got 3 accounts banned for denying Covid that are logged into my baconreader app. The other 10 all got banned with those 3.

I used baconreader and after that fiasco, I never went back. I used to be on daily. Now I just do the standard "how to do ___ reddit" type searches on occasion lmao

Yep. I miss BaconReader but apparently Apollo was good too. The thing with those apps is they could filter out ads and promotion post. Something the Reddit app is full of

You still on Reddit? Ever since they killed Baconreader my redditing died. I tried the official app but it gave my phone Ebola so had to uninstall it

I can still browse on baconreader but can't login or post.
Can't be assed to switch to a browser to say "I disagree" and get banned by a NEET mod.

Supported Reddit clients right now include rif, Relay, Boost, BaconReader, Slide, Infinity, and Sync.

I used Baconreader for ten years, pretty much the perfect app. I tried to use the default reddit app. It's literally unusable. I miss my reddit time but not enough to torture myself with that app.

Major third-party Reddit apps have shut down as of, July 1, 2023, following new API changes from Reddit.
Affected apps include Apollo, Sync for Reddit, BaconReader, and more. Relay for Reddit continues to work amid a shift to a subscription-based model.

Finally summoned up the will power necessary to remove BaconReader from my phone. So long pal, you will be missed.
And reddit too I guess. I barely ever used to browse it on a PC. And I'm certainly not polluting my phone with the official app.

بعد القرارات الاخيرة بدأت تطبيقات الطرف الثالث مثل Apollo و Sync for Reddit و BaconReader توقف رسمياً بسبب تكاليف API الجديدة اللي فرضتها ادارة ريديت.
تطبيق Relay for Reddit مستمر لكن صار باشتراك.🚶🏻♂️
