When the baraatis dance this hard, you know it's not just a baraat... it's a full-blown celebration. And with every dhol beat, every signature hook step, and every cheer from the crowd, the celebration only got bigger. #BaraatVibes #WeddingCelebration #CrazyDanceEnergy

A wedding in Bihar’s Bettiah reportedly fell apart after the groom’s family allegedly demanded an additional ₹50,000 as dowry just hours before the ceremony, leaving the bride waiting through the night for a baraat that never arrived. The incident took place in Machchhargawan Bazar village under Yogapatti police station limits in West Champaran district. The bride, Shabnam, was set to marry Armaan, son of Gulab Ansari from Rudalpur village, on June 15. According to the bride’s family, all wedding preparations had been completed, relatives had gathered from different places, and food for nearly 200 guests had been prepared. However, the marriage could not take place after the groom’s side allegedly refused to proceed without an extra payment. Bride’s Family Alleges Last-Minute Dowry Demand Shabnam’s family alleged that on the day of the wedding, the groom’s father, Gulab Ansari, demanded ₹50,000 in cash and informed them that around 200 baraatis would be arriving. The family also said they were asked to prepare goat meat for the guests. “They told us the baraat would arrive by evening. We arranged the meat and all preparations, but we could not arrange ₹50,000 immediately,” a family member said. Read the full report on theobserverpost.com

This ridiculous Tamasha of the last 12 yrs is also partly responsible for the recent obnoxious behaviour of Indian tourists traveling abroad - acting like baraatis & breaking into a dance anywhere, making reels… They think it’s a cultural thing, something to be proud of…🙄

Can’t believe he once governed a great country called Canada!! Perception and leader-like behaviour in public is very important. Anyways, सानु की। May I extend Mubaraka to Khayalistanis as they’re expected to be baraatis?

They will tell you about Twisha Sharma, our weddings, dowry and all but will never tell you this story: Father dies on the day of daughter's Nikah over dispute over Mehar amount in Uttarakhand. A Nikah ceremony in Khatima turned tragic after the bride's father died of a heart attack following a dispute over the Mehar amount. The Mehar amount was fixed at Rs 22.5 lakh. However, on the day of the Nikah, the bride's side reportedly said, "Consider this amount as a loan." This irked the groom's side, which insisted on sticking to what had been discussed before the Nikah, that is, giving Rs 22.5 lakh as the Mehar amount. This led to an altercation. Soon, the bride's father fell ill and, while being taken to the hospital, died of a heart attack. Later, the bride's side held the Baraatis hostage, following which the police arrived at the scene. Arif, the groom, said his family had recently undertaken significant financial responsibilities, including constructing a house and arranging his sister's marriage. He said that discussions regarding the Mehar amount had already taken place before the Nikah. No formal complaint has been lodged so far. What do you think?

Like grooms and useless baraatis don't waste the bride's time ever! The girl rescued herself out of a toxic marriage!
Salute to the groom.🫡 This is how it should be done. Boys should stop compromising and stop encouraging nuisance in marriages. Girls have been made to believe that boys are their slaves and will tolerate everything, even when their time, efforts, emotions and money are not respected. A wedding is not a reel shoot. If the groom and the entire baraat are kept waiting because making Instagram content is more important than the ceremony itself, then don’t be surprised when the groom decides to leave. Today’s compromise becomes tomorrow’s weakness. The more men tolerate disrespect, the more it gets normalized. Respect time. Respect commitments. Respect people. If that is missing, walking away is better than accepting nonsense.

Two brothers named Vikas Mahato and Amrit Kumar & their gang made a plan to smuggle weed in Bihar. They packed 142 kg of weed worth ₹3 crore inside a "groom's" car. To avoid suspicion, they created an entire fake wedding procession: • Decorative lights
• Loud DJ
• Flower-covered Creta SUV
• Baraatis dancing on the road When police stopped them, they started acting: "Please let us go, we're getting late!"
"The wedding muhurat will pass!" But their nervous faces and overacting raised suspicion. Police searched the vehicle. A few minutes later: • 142 kg weed recovered.
• No bride.
• No wedding.
• Entire baraat headed straight to jail. The wedding procession never reached the venue.
It reached the police station instead 😭

Those who say “if you divide, you will be destroyed” — where did they go? But in front of Thakurs' houses, a Dalit wedding procession was not allowed to pass, and the police lathi-charged the baraatis 🥺 The incident is from Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. Where two daughters from the Dalit community were supposed to be married on the same day. When the wedding procession passed in front of the Thakurs’ houses, they attacked with sticks, rods, bricks, and stones. According to the groom, even the garland around his neck was snatched, and he was misbehaved with. Police reached the spot, but instead of taking action against the attackers, they lathi-charged the baraatis. According to the bride, Sub-Inspector Nitin Thakur fully supported the Thakurs and did not listen to the Dalit side. It is also alleged that a picture of Babasaheb was broken by stone-pelting from the Thakur side. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister gives the slogan: “If you stay united, you will be safe, and if you divide, you will be destroyed.”
