LUCKY DUBE: A LESSON FOR AFRICA
The tragic killing of Lucky Dube remains a painful reminder of how dangerous stereotypes, ignorance, and hatred can become. Whether Nigerian, South African, Ghanaian, Kenyan, or from any other African nation, every African life has value and deserves dignity and respect.
Today, too many Africans spend time attacking one another while the rest of the world moves forward. Nigerians and South Africans should not be enemies. We are brothers and sisters connected by history, culture, struggle, and a shared future.
The world laughs at us when Africans fight Africans. The real challenge is not each other—it is poverty, unemployment, insecurity, underdevelopment, and the negative image that division creates for our continent.
Instead of hatred, let us choose:
✅ Unity over division
✅ Understanding over stereotypes
✅ Cooperation over hostility
✅ Pan-African progress over tribal and national prejudice
An attack on any African is an attack on Africa itself.
Let the memory of Lucky Dube remind us that no African should ever be targeted because of nationality, ethnicity, or where they come from. The future of Africa depends on Africans standing together, protecting one another, and building a continent where every Black person is respected and valued.
One Africa. One People. One Destiny. ✊🏿🌍
