If I can play Devil's Advocate, I think super coders are inevitable. The state space of Software may be large, but good engineering bounds this state space. I can trace a few distinct step jumps in my evolution as a SWE all of which point to super-coders being the likely outcome. For context, I was a SWE/TL and dealt with large groups of people and Google scale systems. 1) As far back as 2016 I decided to limit my brain capacity when doing SWE. I found it to be important in bounding the state space of the code/systems I was responsible for. So, I think medium-intelligent models suffice. 2) Understanding that the primary complexity of SWEngg is in "change management over the life cycle" [1]. Particularly exaggerated when state (like system level invariants) is held in many human brains as opposed to being encoded in the code itself. Models don't suffer from the human-brains problem. 3) Using mechanical thinking [2]. This has been the single biggest jump in my abilities to avoid sphagetti code and sphagetti thinking. If you read the blog, you'll see why this is eminently automatable. 4) Understanding how to effectively test code. In [3], I've written about "efficient testing" as in least number of tests yet highest quality. Beyond that, I am yet to blog about a simple rule that 95% of test code fails on: tests should not have under specification nor over specification. Again, eminently automatable. 5) Using Algebraic Data Types liberally. ADTs encourage writing full functions (not partial ones); your code is forced is to handle the entire state space by the compiler and leads to less runtime surprises. Eminently automatable. Essentially, every single step jump in my evolution came picking one key technique and pruning away large swathes of dangerous ones. Well before ChatGPT, I'd often remark to colleagues that "I can see a world where you dictate what you want and it will build and show you a screen recording" and they'd ask "how" and I'd say "I don't know; but it is automatable because I am doing most of my job mechanically now.". Hope I was clear, even if you disagree. If you have any thoughts, I'd love to know. [1]: openparens.pages.dev/blog/20… [2]: openparens.pages.dev/blog/20… [3]: openparens.pages.dev/blog/20…

The bottleneck isn’t the image. It’s the language. The model is using language to describe geometry. ⸻ NVIDIA’s breakthrough Instead they said: Don’t generate x1 ↓ y1 ↓ x2 ↓ y2 Generate Bounding Box As one object Box = one prediction Instead of Box = four independent predictions That preserves geometry because the coordinates are solved together instead of separately. Scientifically that’s elegant. However it can’t scale past the bottlenecks. Consider Signals ↓ Organization ↓ Relationships ↓ Function ↓ Prediction That changes the mathematical unit of analysis.

kayaknya kedepannya kalau ada artikel lagi nggak mau menanggapi, mau belajar fangirl dengan wajar juga. udah sama-sama tau kalau idolku juga nggak naruh bounding yang cukup kuat sama fans jadi harusnya dibalik kehidupan panggung/konten/iklan udah jd urusan masing-masing aja.

But let's look at the structure bounding this nexus. One or two vectors (?) are the usual rule, and the vast majority of discussions are framed by only one or two vectors. Three vectors is exceptional, and four vectors is extremely rare, except in a full book sized text.

Commence the alchemist already bounding to her side in his own massive wolf form. Awww! She's so cute. He's already sniffing her, followed by a few licks on her little wolf head. Dear little Erina, growing up so fast and learning so quickly. He feels his blood flow through her.
I just learned how to become a wolf! [ She turns into this. ]

Mm, yeah. S’about right. ( Bounding off to go find a water bottle. Vending machine one’ll have to do. ) Here. S’got like vitamins in it and junk? I’ve never had it, but it seemed better than plain.
