I am highly dubious of the reasons offered for Jimmy Kimmel’s cancellation. If it was because Kimmel told an obviously demonstrable falsehood, why was he not fired before now? He lied every time he went onstage. If it was because his statements about Charlie Kirk were insensitive, was general inhumanity not a predictable, even expected feature of Kimmel’s monologues? If it was because Kimmel was “not funny” how do you explain him being there in the first place? He was never funny.
