While I think Brand New Day is gonna be a good movie, I’m tired of CBMs listening to what the fans want considering the fans are absolute morons. Make the movie for yourself
Tom Holland spent a lot of time listening to podcasts & watching YouTube videos to see what “fans were yearning for” when developing ‘SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY’.
He also researched what fans loved about Maguire & Garfield’s suits to design the look of his new suit.

SUPERGIRL pre-sales are keeping a surprisingly good pace, on track for a $60M–$75M domestic opening.
The next few days will be really important to determine how far it can go. CBMs are usually pre-sale heavy, so they rarely fail after a good pre-sales window.
Fair enough. But I do think it’s fairly uncontroversial to say that, Batman Begins is still widely regarded as one of the best CBMs ever. Regardless of your thoughts on it. It’s held in higher esteem than films such as Revenge of Sith
Good picks though
I knew when he didn't get watchmen. He fucked it in 2 ways that are fundamental to the source material. Rorschach is not the lone wolf bad ass hero of the story, and the super heroes in the story are not cool. This is not how comics or cbms should be. This is why his cbms suck.
Rise of the Silver Surfer is one of the most disliked CBMs of that era, in no way it's better as much as I liked it back then. 😅
Only reason some people like it more it's because of "chad" Human Torch and male Silver Surfer, but I'm pretty sure they are casual comic book fans.
Sobre #Supergirl, estas son las comparaciones de preventas que tengo:
- Ligeramente por debajo de #Thunderbolts y Cap4
No CBMs:
- Levemente por encima de #F1TheMovie y #MissionImpossible8
En este momento señalaría un estreno de 60-65M$, con posibilidad de subir algo más.
Yup as most CBMs are these days. Rushed and feel like products. We’ve lost the days where directors had a vision and story to tell. Now it’s all slop to try and make the most money, which I admit I hate myself. I’m excited for Secret Wars, but I want a GOOD movie instead of hype.
i like brave direction for cbms, once you lean into tropes too much i cant respect your judgement. the audience knows the comics, they don’t want a rehashing, they want to see the spirit of it represented; the how is up to you.
While CBMs aim to increase predictability and transparency through verifiable measures, key Middle Eastern players see strategic value in maintaining a degree of ambiguity in their military doctrines, including by keeping hedging options. /24
