At the Réseau des Femmes Leaders pour le Développement (RFLD), we believe that the most effective way to support civil society is to trust the organizations closest to the issues. Today at the RFLD Office in Benin, we held a cheque presentation ceremony to award 10 small grants to local NGOs in Benin.
Importantly, this is Core Support. Why Core Support? We listened to our partners, who told us they didn't need another short-term project grant; they needed fuel for their engines.
Meet Our New Grantee Partners: Join us in celebrating these 10 vibrant organizations. They are on the frontlines of gender justice, youth empowerment, and community development, often in the most challenging areas.
1. ASNaP: Strengthening community health and social protection systems.
2. Centre de Documentation et d'Actions aux Initiatives de Développement (CDAID-ONG): Driving inclusive development initiatives for vulnerable populations.
3. ONG Jeunes Engagés pour la Solidarité, la Paix et le Développement (JESPD): Empowering youth through education and sustainable development.
4. FORAM INITIATIVES: Championing women's leadership and political participation.
5. Association Nationale des Arts et de la Culture du Bénin (ANACUB): Promoting cultural heritage as a lever for social cohesion.
6. Centre d'Etudes Musicales, Artisanales et d'Animation Culturelle (CEMAAC): Advancing artistic expression and creative advocacy.
7. Cercle Artistique "les Filles d'Arts" du Bénin: Fighting against gender-based violence and supporting survivors.
8. SUPER SHAOLIN: Using sports as a tool for youth engagement and discipline.
9. PASSION CULTURE ART (PCA Bénin): Fostering dialogue and peace through community arts.
10. AIESEC Porto Novo: Developing the next generation of ethical leaders.
By investing in the institutional health of these organizations, we are investing in a stronger, more resilient civil society for West Africa.
