Last night after workers at Chaatable in West Nashville had organized and went on strike, @ManeetChauhan CLOSED DOWN her restaurant Chaatable IN RETALIATION. We’re out TONIGHT at her restaurant Chauhan Ale & Masala House at 7pm to show that no one messes with restaurant workers.
Workers at @chaatable, a restaurant owned by celebrity chief @ManeetChauhan, complained they were retaliated against for attempting to unionize in order to get answers about their jobs. They were not told the restaurant would close nor were given time to find other employment.
A handful of employees at Chaatable in Sylvan Park were expecting to go on strike in demand of better wages and working conditions. But when they arrived at the restaurant, they learned it was closed permanently — at least at that location.

Workers arrived for their shifts today and found a sign on the door saying the restaurant is closing. I believe they are currently picketing another one of @ManeetChauhan's Nashville restaurants.
So it clearly sucks for workers at @chaatable that they are out of a job. (Restaurant management says they are looking for another spot.) But I'm going to be real petty: I was looking forward to eating a couple of those baller pakoras tomorrow.
