I tried again to use solo.ckpool even knowing by that I consistently have a damn 125 ping to it. This time it straight wouldn’t even begin to let me connect any of my miners.. are you planning and expansions soon? I’m in Nashville tn, and ping to ckpool is always awful
Six months ago I started building a solo mining pool for myself, friends and customers - ckpool with a proper web interface packed with stats. GoBrrr Pool is the result, and it's now available in the official @umbrel App Store! 🥳⛏️
solo.ckpool.org abruptly got another 10,000 users, and there are now 70,000 workers on the pool, so some other solo pool must have gone down somewhere. The hashrate barely changed so I expect it's all small bitaxe sized miners. Check your primary pool for downtime.
This is why I reject anyone mining to solo ckpool without a valid address instead of defaulting to mining for me. The hardware should really come unconfigured.

Everyone knows/uses/forks CKPool because it’s battle-tested.
But mkpool (@mkpool_mining) might be the most ambitious pool software ever released. I don’t say that lightly.
For the average user, a really slick UI and near-immediate block reward payouts are the standout features.
But for the dev crowd, it gets a lot more interesting. I spent hours digging through the code last night, wildly impressed by how many incredibly challenging problems were solved: native Stratum V2, TLS, multi-coin support, AuxPoW, Equihash, and a modern C 23 architecture designed from the ground up as a unified pool engine rather than a collection of bolt-on features.
If it proves itself under real-world load, this could become the future of open-source mining infrastructure. This may be the first time you’re hearing about it, but I highly doubt it’ll be the last.

Since this update I cannot get any of my Bitaxes to work on public-pool. I've done the Firmware update to 2.14.0. I've tried going back to V1 in advanced settings. If I switch to other pools then everything works fine. For now I'm on ckpool. I've uploaded screenshots to Grok and all my settings are confirmed to be correct. Maybe my ISP has DNS issues?
Day 33 with my NerdOctaxe Gamma. $BTC
No block yet.
Month 1 was on CKPool with 40ms ping
Been using AtlasPool for 24 hours and the latency is around 15 ms so far. Less rejected shares so far.

Month 1 was on CKPool with 40ms ping avg.
Day 32. Trying Braiins solo pool today and the ping is slower unfortunately. 169ms ping.
Just tried out AtlasPool and was able to get under 20ms! I’ll let it run for 24 hours and check it again.
