In the computerised reservation system of Indian Railways, there is a provision for allotting lower berth automatically to divyaang jan , senior citizens and female passengers above the age of 45 years., even if no choice is given. It is, however, subject to availability of such lower berths at the time of booking. In trains also, tkt checking staff is authorised to allot lower berths falling vacant to such senior citizens and Divyaang jan who have been allotted middle/upper berth due to non-availability of lower berths at time of booking.

Why cant be have double decker trains for passengers if we can have them for freight ? Why cant we lenghten trains to have more bogeys? Gujarat News: ગુજરાતમાં ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાયસન્સ મેળવવા માટેની ઓનલાઇન સિસ્ટમ અને સેન્સર આધારિત આરટીઓ ટ્રેકને કારણે વાહનચાલકોને ટેસ્ટ પાસ કરવામાં ભારે મુશ્કેલીઓ પડી રહી છે, જેનો ફાયદો ઉઠાવીને એજન્ટોએ એક મોટું કૌભાંડ આચર્યું હોવાની વિગતો પ્રકાશમાં આવી છે. ગુજરાતના કેટલાક એજન્ટોએ રાજસ્થાન અને ઉત્તર-પૂર્વીય રાજ્યો જેમ કે સિક્કિમ, મણિપુર અને આસામના આરટીઓ અધિકારીઓ સાથે સાંઠગાંઠ કરીને એક નવો જ કિમીયો શોધી કાઢ્યો હતો. આ કૌભાંડ હેઠળ ગુજરાતના લોકોને ડ્રાઇવિંગ ટેસ્ટ આપવા માટે જે-તે રાજ્યમાં રૂબરૂ જવું પણ પડતું નથી અને ત્યાંના ખોટા સરનામા ઊભા કરીને તેમના નામે ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાયસન્સ ઇસ્યુ કરાવી દેવામાં આવે છે. આ પ્રક્રિયામાં ગુજરાતમાં રહેતી વ્યક્તિના આધાર કાર્ડ અને સ્કૂલ લિવિંગ સર્ટિફિકેટ જેવા દસ્તાવેજો અન્ય રાજ્યોના આરટીઓમાં મોકલવામાં આવતા હતા, જ્યાં નામ અને જન્મતારીખ સાચી રાખીને માત્ર સરનામું જ બદલી નાખવામાં આવતું હતું. આ ખોટા સરનામાના આધારે પહેલા કાચું લાયસન્સ અને ત્યારબાદ કોઈપણ પ્રકારની ડ્રાઇવિંગ ટેસ્ટ લીધા વિના જ પાકું લાયસન્સ મેળવીને અરજદારને મોકલી દેવાતું હતું. આ આખી ગોઠવણ પાછળ કૌભાંડીઓ અને એજન્ટો એક ડ્રાઇવિંગ લાયસન્સ દીઠ રૂપિયા 20 હજાર સુધીનો મોટો ચાર્જ વસૂલતા હતા અને સૂત્રોના જણાવ્યા અનુસાર સૌથી વધુ બોગસ લાયસન્સ રાજસ્થાનના જોધપુર આરટીઓમાંથી ઇસ્યુ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. પ્રાથમિક વિગતો મુજબ આ રીતે અત્યાર સુધીમાં અંદાજે ત્રણ હજારથી વધુ બોગસ લાયસન્સ મેળવી લેવાયા છે. આ પાકા લાયસન્સ હાથમાં આવ્યા બાદ વાહનચાલકો સરનામું બદલાવીને તેને ગુજરાતના આરટીઓમાં ટ્રાન્સફર કરવા માટે મોટા પાયે અરજીઓ કરતા હતા. અમદાવાદ સહિત રાજ્યના વિવિધ શહેરોમાં અચાનક અન્ય રાજ્યોના લાયસન્સ પરથી સરનામું બદલવાની અરજીઓમાં અસાધારણ વધારો થતાં વાહન વ્યવહાર કમિશનરને શંકા ગઈ હતી. આ બાબત ધ્યાન પર આવતા જ તેમણે ઊંડાણપૂર્વક તપાસના આદેશ આપ્યા હતા, જેમાં આ આખું ગેરકાયદેસર નેટવર્ક પકડાયું છે. #GujaratRTO #DrivingLicence #Gujarat #Gscard #Gujaratsamachar
