It’s okay to leave extra space in frame, you can crop later.

I use Darktable for photo editing and GIMP for composite work.
With astrophotography, I’ll likely need to learn a few additional programs as well, such as Sequator for stacking and noise reduction.
I always enjoy learning something new, so this should be a lot of fun. 😀
