A recent example; team doesn’t have a strong data culture and GA was not deployed correctly to capture any marketing/product performance — they were considering switching to Tableau. I shut that idea down. If you can’t use a free tool well, a crazy expensive one is not a solution

Ppl can get caught up in a tool’s brand; be mindful of your own team using them. My concern when I conduct discovery for marketing transformation workshops is when a team says they’ve used SEVERAL tools to solve one problem. Now I know painpoint is developing the habit, not tool

I agree less is more. Also depends on your biz, what you’re trying to achieve, the programs you’re implementing, budget, as well as team aptitude. At a startup, most are sophisticated tech users. I come from enterprise teams where sophistication is less so.
