Lisa Nandy’s answer was pure Westminster fog.
Apparently, we need not worry too much about whether Britain has enough money for its Navy, Army or Air Force, because one thing this Government will definitely protect is public funding for the
#BBC.

A country with hollowed-out armed forces, overstretched personnel and ministers resigning over defence funding, and the Culture Secretary’s great contribution to “national resilience” is to make sure the BBC is funded properly to tackle myths and disinformation.
Orwell would not have needed to write satire. He could have just clipped this interview.
Britain may not always have enough ships. It may not always have enough aircraft. It may not always have enough soldiers, kit or ammunition.
But do not worry.
There will always be money for the people who explain why there is no money.
