If it were ever posible to create a sufficiently advanced artificial life form (not mere AI / robot) then this would be a real dilemma, but that's beyond the current tech and cerainly beyond the purpose of the current tech developements.

If AI becomes sentient or suffers, then we just created another humanlike being that will only give more trouble instead of solving it, that means we failed to build the thing that was supposed to solve our problems.

Personally the season 2 one is my favorite. And also just that season overall was just pure peak after peak. Mounth weather, Finn’s death, Lexa’s introduction, Octavia and Murphy’s developements and the start of Clexa and finally that ending such a perfect season.
