Sports academies are one of the most interesting EdTech experiments in youth sports 📚
Traditional school models are hard to fit around elite student-athletes.
That is why
@tphacademy uses
@TrySubject, a flexible video-first curriculum.
The platform can personalize lessons around student interests.
If one student likes cars and another likes architecture the curriculum shapes examples and engagement around that.
Why that matters?
Because flexible learning only works if the student actually stays engaged.
But there is still a human layer says, Chief Growth Officer Steve Sanders, "We call it a hybrid learning environment. Every facility, every classroom has student success coaches in there. And these are certified teachers within the state...who are working through the lessons with them, able to do additional tutoring, are monitoring that pacing and making sure everybody's staying on track and really give the parents like a direct point of feedback to be able to help manage the student academic process."
The students don't just learn core curriculum either.
There are courses available like life skills, brand development, and NIL/financial literacy.
Because today’s elite student-athletes are not only preparing for college sports.
