#EffectiveJava by @joshbloch is such a great, practical book and a must read for every java developer. Nothing has improved my understanding of the language as much as doing code reviews with the book opened next to me and diving into endless rabbit holes.

確かにEffectiveJavaの初版についている古いJavaロゴはTrajanフォントで、スモールキャップスの知識がないと全て大文字であるかに見える

不要って言われる文脈はSpringBoot等のフレームワークの上で、かつ、汎用的なライブラリを提供しない文脈。アプリケーション設計を考えるときに本当に継承を使うべきか？だと理解してるけどな。 継承をなるべく使わないって書いてる本ならEffectiveJavaにおける継承よりもコンポジションを選べ、の項

まぁでも実際に継承ってほとんどいらないとは思う。。。 ボクとか『継承するくらいなら委譲しろ』って教えてるし。EffectiveJavaにもそれに近いことが書いてあったはずだし。
