Every commercial, every magazine endcap — an emaciated woman. It kept everybody honest.

The expansion makes it a lot better though, you get two endcap pieces for the Core Worlds allowing you to cross through them (so getting to the other side of the map is a lot easier), you have the ability to trade favors with other players to get a boost (and debt tokens to hold them to it), more variety in every single deck (even the job datacards get two versions each, selected at random when you attempt the job), and a mechanic that gradually reveals contacts as people buy cards from the market so you can more easily find who you’re looking for. Went from a game I refused to play again to a game I’ll even actually propose myself sometimes.

So whenever they put out limited time items, they often don’t give them actual spots to be on the shelves, as a result, if a new endcap or whatever takes up the spot these were in, they force a clearance sign on them to get them out. Notice how the prices are still the same
