This week on @0xMiden and The Privacy Salon at ETHDevner with Aleo and midnight. We started the week (Monday) with @Devkrz(Lumina engine), Faizaan( Lumina co-founder),@przebigniew (zoroswap) and @ngjupeng(Qash) joining @adeets_22(Para). They talked about building the forefront of privacy, how each of them are approaching it and what's coming with their protocols. Dome protocol shared that Real privacy isn’t secrecy. It’s confidentiality with accountability. @emceecoy_ highlighted the projects which experts will be attending the Event like @AleoHQ, @Zcash, @a16zcrypto, @ethereum, @circle @paxoslabs, @Ledger, @0xMiden, @MidnightNtwrk. He also highlighted topics around future of private stablecoins, post quantum and frictionless private cryptography, custodial vs self custodial security and oppinions from past protocol inventors of zcash. It's The Privacy Salon at the ETHDevner event and also the private stablecoins space with @LuminaEngine, @0xQash and @zoroswap I tweeted it yesterday but it seems many are not even following up at all. I try my best to follow up the event as much as I can and here's what I think I should do: > Pay attention to Miden's page. > Pay attention to all the page of all the protocols in the Miden ecosystem. > Create a list for all the speakers or lemme say guest speakers. I'm not good at the clipping shxt but if you're good at it and you're so hyped about the practical privacy then it's the right time for you to execute something. ETHDenver 2025 见闻 背景：四次ETHDenver亲历者，三次会议赞助商 第一次写小作文 轻拍 1 规模与氛围的变化 疫情前的ETHDenver还只是一个小型聚会，但疫情停办三年后，它已成为除Devcon之外以太坊生态中出席人数最多的会议。尤其是疫情后的第一届，令人印象深刻——大家早早到场，会议前一周的周边活动很多爆满，几乎所有活动都需要提前注册和批准才能入场。这种场景在行业会议中非常罕见，毕竟大多数活动都希望人越多越好。记得当时的zkday，现场同时有超过1000人，场面非常壮观。2024年人数有所减少，但优质活动仍能吸引几百人同时在场，唯一需要排队入场的只有Berachain的活动。而今年，周边活动数量明显减少，除了晚上的社交活动，白天的活动到场人数寥寥，能超过100人的活动已算顶呱呱。 2 话题热度的变迁 2023年是ZK大年，ZK可聊的范围本来就很广所以同属ZK话题依然广泛且多样，除此外Chain、DeFi、GameFi、NFT等主题也备受关注。2024年，ZK的热度有所下降，焦点转向了Restaking、Data Availability、Layer2、AI和Account Abstraction等领域。而今年，除了AI，尤其是AI Agent似乎没有其他新鲜话题了。与其他会议不同，ETHDenver的社交活动比例较低，更多是硬核技术讲座。然而今年由于主题缺乏吸引力，不仅到场人数少，愿意认真听讲的人更是寥寥无几，很多活动现场台下只有稀稀拉拉的几个人。这一届的meme含量非常低，甚至比去年还低，不论从专场活动还是panel。我个人并不against meme，但如果行业只有meme没有其他东西那一定无法长久。 3 VC的存在感减弱 往年，许多VC会举办周边活动，但今年VC的身影明显减少。虽然仍派代表参会，但像前两年那样大张旗鼓赞助和举办活动的VC已经很少见了。 4 展台的变化 今年展台的数量不输往年，主要是因为赞助计划早在去年Q2-Q3就已确定。不过，绝大部分展台都是基础设施相关项目，纯DApp项目很少，往年火热的Web3游戏也几乎不见踪影。不过今年很多展台上第一次出现了机器人和机器狗。我觉得最有趣的展台设计是@Polygon布置成了存储室的房间样子。最可爱的是@zircuit的小猫玩偶。 5 周边吸引力减弱 EthDevner 周边一直是我觉得最有创意也最卷的活动，没有之一。也是唯一一个我会心甘情愿带一大堆周边回去的活动。今年周边的惊喜减少了很多，尤其是帽子，前两年我都忍不住要拍个帽子比赛，所以今年我们特意认真准备了帽子作为周边，结果竞争太弱，第一天上午就发了75%。 6 开发者比例下降 往年ETHDenver最令人印象深刻的是开发者众多，展台接待的人中很少遇到对区块链和以太坊一无所知的小白，30%以上都是开发者（也可能因为我们展台是基础设施相关，所以接触的程序员较多）。大家会提出很多高质量的技术问题。而今年，接待的开发者少了一半，更多的是其他项目的BD和市场营销人员（如节点服务商、审计公司、流量平台等）。 7 演讲场地安排的失误 今年的演讲舞台从展台区搬到了另一栋楼（与黑客马拉松在同一区域），这一安排非常糟糕。人流主要集中在展台区，往年大家可以在逛展和听讲座之间自由切换，逛累了就听听感兴趣的演讲。而今年，演讲场地难找且距离远，导致每场演讲的平均听众只有个位数，赞助效果大打折扣。 8 Denver的实用小贴士 虽然低谷虽然迷茫，让人欣慰的是还是有不少builder愿意留在这个行业。参展的不少项目方也都是长期主义者。毕竟这个行业需要一些长期精神的人。最后给一些实用小贴士：在Denver，推荐用Lyft而不是Uber打车。同样的路线，正常情况下$10的路程，高峰时段uber会飙升至$50，而Lyft在$20左右，虽然也涨价但没那么离谱。另外，Denver的中餐又贵又不好吃，但泰国菜却意外地不错，尤其推荐Aloy Modern Thai，值得一试。
