Dozens of Fallbrook residents gathered along Mission Avenue this week to honor Martín Lucas, a landscaper and father of four who was killed in a March 16 shooting. Friends, neighbors and community members attended the candlelight vigil, offering support to Lucas’ family and sharing memories of his work and dedication to his children. “I know nothing is gonna bring back my dad, but I just want justice for my dad,” his daughter said. “My dad was everything to me and my brothers. I'm really, really thankful for each and every one of you guys for being here with us today.” Organizers said the vigil was intended to show support for Lucas’ family and bring the community together in the aftermath of the shooting.
