I wouldn’t be surprised if we prove some level of sexual recombination in PST pops. around the Rockies! There’re unpublished reports of natural PST infection on Mahonia (Oregon Grape) & we’ve lots of that around Rockies. Many interesting questions for us to work on. @globalrust

PST isolates vary in their ability to produce telia. Here in British Columbia, most of the studied isolates show a high degree of telial production, in addition to exhibiting a high diversity of races (DOI:10.13140/RG.2.2.20445.42726)
