So apparently YouTube has been doing mass takedowns of GG reupload type stuff based on their reupload guidelines, which I guess is what it is, but we have our own internal policy that we very rarely enforce and recently did on a compilation that was just a full re-upload of one of our playlists (which is a huge chunk of our viewership). I realize we’ve never been totally clear about that process and we probably should since we have always encouraged fan-made stuff so we’re working on a sort of master doc to communicate what we’re cool with. The overall messaging is that if it remixes our stuff in a creative way it’s typically all good (rage comps, sleepaids etc). If you make compilations at all please look out for that soon so you can keep doing your thing, and also be wary that I guess YouTube just… takes stuff down sometimes and I would encourage you to read their “reused content policy” to protect yourself from them.
