Reflections #LemovInLichfield 🧵6/7
The biggest epiphany for me today (no pun intended @LichfieldCath) was the power #HabitsofDiscussion can have in addressing undesirable classroom CULTURE❓Do students talk to each other or past each other? Do students know how to disagree? ➡️
This is amazing and such a good example of this technique. Thank you for sharing with others @MissCKnowles1 ! ⭐️ #HabitsofDiscussion with scaffolding while students learn techniques to build strong academic conversations!!!
Future third graders practicing TLaC Habits of Discussion. Amazing job @MissCKnowles1 for setting the foundation for our students to be able to do this skill. @AliefLearns
Y5/6S have been using the ‘Habits of Discussion’ to debate about whether plastic should be banned. They spoke so clearly, used wonderful vocabulary and were very respectful of one another! #tlac#habitsofdiscussion#faithhopelove@CSC_langlitcomm
Really enjoyed our #pedagogypractice tonight - a good old discussion around when birthdays should be celebrated 🤪 - lots of prosocial nonverbal cues! Continuing with practising in classrooms! Children can definitely name 5/6 #habitsofdiscussion - now to see how many they use!
Thank you 5th grade math teachers for a wonderful discussion today. Kudos to Toni Burns, @arachellea, and Courtney Nelson for leading the way! #AISDRocks#habitsofdiscussion ✏️📊📓
