⚽ Press play first. Then read this.
"𝗪𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆."
Messi says it. Mbappé says it. Vinícius says it.
And so does a barefoot child kicking a ball in the sand — who may never wear the jersey, but already knows the game belongs to him too.
That one line is why football isn't a sport. It's a language. The only one 8 billion people speak without translation.
Right now, the planet has the fever. And FIFA World Cup 2026 is the biggest stage the game has ever built:
→ 48 teams. 104 matches. 39 days. 16 stadiums.
→ Three nations co-hosting for the first time in history — USA, Canada, Mexico.
→ 1,248 players from 71 countries, all chasing one trophy.
→ Estadio Azteca becomes the first stadium on earth to host three World Cups.
And scoring the festival? Shakira and Burna Boy, with "Dai Dai" — Italian for "come on, come on." The chorus alone carries five languages: dai (Italian), ikou (Japanese), dale (Spanish), allez (French), let's go (English).
An entire World Cup, folded into one hook line.
A few things that made me smile:
• It's Shakira's fourth World Cup anthem. "Waka Waka" crossed a billion streams. She doesn't follow the fever — she starts it.
• Ed Sheeran and Jon Bellion are among the writers. The world's loudest party, written by a quiet room of geniuses.
• Every royalty from the song funds education for disadvantaged children — a $100M goal. The richest game on earth, paying it forward to the kids playing barefoot in the sand.
• And for the first time ever, the Final will close with a Super Bowl-style halftime show.
Here's what I keep coming back to as a strategist:
The World Cup is the purest thing in my world — 𝘱𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘴 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘮𝘦𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘺.
No brand can buy this. No budget can manufacture it. A nation goes still. A stranger becomes a brother. A single goal becomes a feeling you carry for thirty years.
Maradona's hand and his genius. Beckham's curve. Ronaldo's hunger. Messi's farewell. We forget the scoreline. We never forget how it made us feel.
𝗜𝗻 𝗮 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹.
That's the festival. That's the fever. And for 39 days, the whole planet is on the same team.
